The Automation Manager has a proven track record in application development (SDLC), AI (Chatbots), DevOps (IaC, CaC), IAM (Multifactor Authentication), problem-solving, and deploying automated solutions.

The manager will build and lead a team of technical professionals to drive an automation strategy across the EITaaS program. The candidate should have in-depth experience building automated solutions for operations, services, engineering, and systems channels to enhance program efficiency and customer experience across the EITaaS program.What You'll Get to Do:The Technical Automation Manager contributes to developing next-generation technology for an enterprise cloud platform architecture for IT service management (EITaaS).

The manager will lead a technical team responsible for architecting, designing, enhancing, and implementing practical and scalable automated solutions across the EITaaS program. The manager will deliver an automation strategy for the EITaaS program and build automatic processes throughout EITaaS, leveraging custom software solutions in RPA, AI, DevSecOps, and IAM disciplines to ensure efficiency and improve customer experiences. The manager and team will participate at all levels in the program to apply automation techniques and best practices for enterprise-level processes.

The managerial role will provide the insight to build complex integrations with various program products to implement secure, high-performance services.Leadership in developing strategic goals, providing guidance, and defining accountabilities for EITaaS program automation, DevSecOps, AI, IAM, and Service Agent Tools for ITSM.A leadership role in automation strategy (automation tools, AI technology, techniques, IaC, IAM, Service Desk Tools, roadmaps) by voicing Customer needs, Engineering, and Operations functions using technical knowledge and research to help create and maintain the strategy.

Engage in cross-functional leadership in providing guidance, managing team resources, task completion dates, prioritizing activities, and associated organization areas that interact with the automation team (ie, operations, change management, engineering, information assurance, etc.), and driving program goals.Communicate clear objectives within and outside of the automation team to ensure expectations and accountabilities are understood.

Establish a consistent operating rhythm to normalize collaboration and help achieve goals.Develop a solid and capable team that functions as a unit, enabling team performance that meets or exceeds established program goals. In the process, hold the team accountable for results.

Grow talent and develop successors/new automation leaders for future program needs.Responsible for managing, scheduling, and coordinating special project activities, daily operations and maintenance activities, and staff assignments.Architect, develop, implement, and maintain software solutions across the EITaaS program, including business operations, product teams, and enhancing the end-user experience.

Build scalable solutions in multiple technologies through system integrations, APIs, and process automation, utilizing various programming techniques for IVA, RPA, DevSecOps, and IAM technologies.Automate business processes utilizing RPA, AI technology, and machine learning to enhance program resource performance, building efficient, scalable, and enterprise-level processes.Deliver custom-designed programs, tests, and code implementations, providing business solutions according to all SAFe Agile principles and best practices.

Architect, develop, implement, and maintain cloud/on-prem DevSecOps processes across multiple technical organizations, instantiating systems, applications, and infrastructure against business requirements. Champion implementation of services and applications into the CI/CD pipeline, building automated deployments into a high-security environment through SAFe methodologies.Architect, develop, implement, and maintain a Chatbot through AI technology, building intent flows, ontology, utterances, and programming to aid the ITSM team and enhance the overall end-user Tier-0 experience through a conversational Chatbot in a high-security environment More About the Role?:Manage a team of engineers responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and operating program identity platforms and application multifactor authentication, including Identity and Access Management, Identity Governance, Public Key Infrastructure, Secrets Management, and Internal directory services.

Collaborate with key stakeholders across the company to provide subject matter expertise and continuously refine the IAM strategy, develop appropriate access and governance frameworks, and drive improvements in security and compliance while providing a frictionless user experience.Responsible for Service Agent Tools, including telephony (inContact, Beyond Trust), plus custom automation for daily operations and processes.Provide and lead approved recommendations for process development and continual improvement through automation for Network and System Administration, Ticket Handling, IA Collections, Reporting, and Resolution.

Responsible for managing Intelligent automation Platforms (MLOps, NLP, RPA, Conversational AI, Generative AI, Language Translation, and AiOps)Effectively documents preliminary and detailed designs necessary for new builds, enhancements, or modifications of solution components.Engages with the Product Owners and program stakeholders to develop acceptance criteria for features and user stories to meet business requirements. Actively participates in SAFe Agile ceremonies.

Participates in structured walkthroughs, secure coding, and technical reviews, ensuring automation designs, coding, and scalable solutions follow secure and industry best practice design principles.Provides technical leadership and effectively communicates across diverse technical organizations, including reporting project status and leadership reviews.You'll Bring These Qualifications:BS/BA in Engineering, Science, STEM field, advanced degree preferred (MS in Engineering or MBA), similarly qualified discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous supervisory experience managing multidisciplinary software development teams, automation, DevSecOps, integration, identity management, application implementations, and providing daily operations support across multiple program levels.Experience with enterprise-level application development (SDLC), Full Stack, Front-End, Back-End, and in-between, scripting, C#, C+, Java, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, Angular, Microsoft .NET, HTML, CSS, REST, SOAP, IaC, CaC, containerization (Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm), in multiple platforms, Windows, Windows Server, and Linux.

Familiar with RPA technology platforms, UiPath, Blue Prism, or other similar technologies. Knowledge of federation and SSO technologies, such as SAML, OAuth, ADFS, OCSP, multifactor authentication, CAC, and PKI/Smart cards, including Microsoft AD, Azure AD, LDAP, and directory services. Experience developing and implementing RBAC and ABAC strategies.

Excellent understanding of DevSecOps techniques and processes, guide integration of various tools in DevSecOps processes (GitLab/GitHub, SonarQube, Nexus, Jenkins, Selenium, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and containerization), and Cloud technologies, AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle, or IBM.Knowledgeable of integration platforms for Cloud systems, understanding of integration architectures for enterprise software development, including source control, build/release tool methodologies, repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.Deep knowledge and experience in automation engineering, robotic process automation, systems engineering, change procedure automation, AI/ML technologies (monitoring automation, observability automation, configuration management automation, intelligent alerting, auto ticket triage, deployment automation, infrastructure orchestration, and analytics) and secure software development practices.

Experience working in a DevOps or Agile methodology is required.Hands-on experience with industry-specific best practices for advanced automation tools and platforms (RPA, OCR, AI/ML, Chatbots, Process Mining)Operate as the chief architect for this automation engineering function, continuously enhancing it to drive automation adoption, AIOps adoption, and next-generation tooling to increase efficiency, productivity, and precision operation.Knowledgeable of network, systems, storage, computing, operations, and ITSM processes.

Demonstrate understanding of systems, applications, monitoring solutions, and operational characteristics of highly available and scalable systems.To exert influence and build relationships, the candidate must exhibit appropriate and consistent leadership behaviors in team management, customer communications, and internal interactions with peers, senior leadership, and potential clients.Proven ability to mentor, grow, performance manage, and develop an exceptional team.
